Clothing!

So a bit ago I was surfing the internet, on pinterest I think, and I found this picture of this absolutely adorable skirt and decided I very much wanted it for myself! So I nabbed the photo and then it sat on my desktop for like 4 months til I got all re-inspired and went to the fabric store and got myself a beautiful heavier weight navy wool to make something similar out of.

 And here is the finished result! I absolutely love this skirt! It came out as close to perfect as I could have imagined, the circle skirt is three panels with what I like to call a sweetheart waist band that gives it that little extra something and everything is pulled together in the back with an invisible zipper. I also made a light weight wool white/cream tie belt to go with(see the second picture below) and thats super cute but not necessary for the skirt so sometimes I use it and sometimes I dont. ;)

And by the way the super rad elephant sculpture is in the park blocks of the Pearl District in Downtown Portland if Portland is you thing! ;)
