Butterfly Skirt

Just made myself this skirt the other day from an old dress of my grandmothers from the seventies. I wish I could find a picture of her in it so you could see what it looked like originally but I can't seem to find the photos. Basically though it had a lon sleeved turtleneck bodice in the same fabric attached to this skirt. I've always loved the fabric but could never come up with a way to modernize the dress as a whole so instead I decided to just have it as a  maxi skirt and I love it! Isn't this fabric amazing? I love the drama it has with the giant black butterflies against the white. It's pretty much my new favorite thing and it was really quite easy. After cutting off the bodice all I had to do was bring it in at  the waist and hem it up about half an inch.
